Critical Success Factors for Safety Training in the Construction Industry

Construction is a hazardous industry. The project-based nature and fragmentation in the industry lead to change uncertainty requiring special expertise. To handle those, construction firms must develop strategies action plans along with experience gained from lessons learned. Among risks, safety risks are of critical importance leading accidents. Hence, need strengthen their programs, review for management, effective training sessions protect workers. This study focuses on success factors promoting performance. In this respect, questionnaire was designed administered Engineering News-Record (ENR) 2020 Top 400 Contractors. data utilized conducting factor analysis group name considering total variance. resulted six-factor groups; namely, project firm-related factors, demographic practical motivational organizational human-related factors. Project were found be most essential terms effectiveness training. results expected guide practitioners reviewing revising programs.
